Forming one half of the Sydney duo phile, as well as co-founding the meticulously curated Deep Seeded Records, Hannah is undoubtedly a tour de force of the Sydney scene. Playing regularly in clubs, warehouses and infamous outdoor locations, Hannah’s live performances and DJ sets are a perfect blend of all things industrial, experimental and techno.

Re-constructing various forms of dance music, Hannah's live performances have become an important part of Sydney’s underground clubbing community and DIY party scene. There’s no green rooms and someone may accidentally knock the power out when dancing but parties like Hannah's are helping Sydney night life kick on.

Grace Stevenson, who performs under the moniker of Rebel Yell, is drawn to differing noises: one of her favourite discoveries was in the bathroom of a Norwegian airport which was piping in the chirping of birds. Having grown up on a rural property behind Queensland's Sunshine Coast, it created a familiar yet faraway sensation.

The noise Stevenson creates as Rebel Yell is something different. The 24-year-old traffics in uncompromising beats and grinding synthesiser parts that repurpose the brutal symmetry of European industrial music and the hard, ecstatic charge of techno. On her newly issued debut album, Hired Muscle, Stevenson sounds like the soundtrack to a club's 2am basement room: invigorating, isolating, and intense.

Lucy Phelan has been a critical force in the Sydney DIY scene for over 10 years. Under her solo veil, Lucy Cliché is an ever evolving project exploring intersections between techno, industrial and electro. Using an all hardware set-up her music delivers a hard bitten exploration of how physicality and the ethereal can interact in music – heavy bass rhythms lock into pounding drums, washed over with synth chords and acid bleeps. She recently released a new EP ‘Drain Down‘ on the vinyl imprint Noise In My Head Records.

Lucy’s career has seen her work on a range of projects over her years in the industry. From Naked on the Vague, a four piece indie-punk group first formed in 2005 with Mathew Barking Hopkins, to the experimental Knitted Abyss girl duo with Anna John (Holy Balm, Raw Prawn) to the ambient tape manipulation of Half High.

As co-head of the Haven parties and label, and with music on scene-leaders such as Mord and S.L.A.M., as well as 2 European tours under his belt, Keepsakes has been working to bring his gritty sound from the South Pacific to the spangled masses in Europe.

Keepsakes, the moniker of British-Kiwi producer and DJ James Barrett, has been going from strength to strength in the murky world of techno in the past few years. With EPs pressed to wax on Ansome and Ossian’s South London Analogue Material and Germany’s Mindcut, appearances on the last two instalments of Mord’s Herdersmat compilations, plus European tours in 2016 and 2017, Keepsakes has been working hard to push his crunchy sound and diverse DJ sets internationally.

Furthermore, Barrett co-founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in 2015 in Auckland, New Zealand - aiming to introduce a new generation of Kiwis to the weirder and harder side of house and techno. At the beginning of 2018 this also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label, launching with an EP of screechy bangers from the Haven co-founder.

Now residing in Berlin, Keepsakes is now focused full time on bringing a tough and eclectic vibe to dance floors worldwide - utilising his productions, DJ sets, and label to push a sound moving between techno, house, electro, bass music and breaks while still maintaining a distinct crunchy character.

Since 2009, Vincent Koreman a.k.a. Drvg Cvltvre has been working on his own blend of dystopian acid, no wave and experimental house. Koreman is a highly productive producer, offering many of his new tracks for free download on his soundcloud page before they get released by labels.

Respected in the international underground for his groundbreaking work in experimental techno as RA-X in the 90′s on labels like Bunker and KK Records, Koreman comes from a DIY punk background, opting for hard work rather than hollow pose.

Recent Drvg Cvltvre releases include an untitled 10″ on Porn Wax, which instantly got dj support from John Talabot, Trevor Jackson and Cottam and the recent 12″ ‘American Psychosis’ on Shipwrec, which was made The Guardian’s track of the week. Out now are a 12″ on Permanent Vacation, ‘American Psychosis part 2′ on Shipwrec, and a 12' on the mysterious Cos Mos offshoot of M>O>S> Recordings.

Drvg Cvltvre’s tracks take the speed down a notch to emphasis on the heavy-ness of sound and using the space left between the pounding kicks to build melancholic melodies that seem to grow out of orevaporate into thin air. A blend of dark techno and deep house with lots of experiment, influenced in equal parts by Suicide, Sun Ra and Terrence Dixon.
